Mission Statement:
"Mercer Energy is dedicated to improving agricultural and community economies by utilizing renewable fuel resources."

With the current marketing efforts of Ford and General Motors, the turmoil in the Middle East, and consumer frustrations of high gas prices, ethanol has become a viable alternative to help reduce the dependency on foreign oil. As of January, 2008 there were 134 ethanol plants in production throughout the U.S., with 77 projects under construction or in expansion. Currently in Ohio there is only one facility in production located in the Northeast. The U.S. ethanol companies produced 4.855 billion gallons of ethanol in 2006 (Source: RFA), an estimated 30-40% of the potential demand. With expertise in agriculture, trucking, excavation, and finance Mercer Energy will succeed in contributing to the growth of ethanol in the U.S. economy.
